Kibbi Technologies Inc. seeks a Field Calibration Technician to perform precise calibrations at customer sites across industries. This field role involves extensive travel and working onsite with customers, ensuring accurate data and compliant documentation.

You will support multiple calibration disciplines, document results, and maintain equipment and procedures in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of calibration experience in a lab or field environment.
• Electronics degree (2–3 year program) preferred.
• GP calibration experience required.
• Willingness to travel locally and overnight with expenses covered by the company.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and related calibration standards.

Job description

We are seeking a Field Calibration Technician to join our growing remote team. In this role, you’ll perform precise, high-quality calibrations at customer sites across diverse industries and locations. This is a field-based position that offers the chance to travel extensively, gain exposure to different environments, and build strong relationships with customers. Travel includes a mix of local day trips and overnight assignments, depending on project requirements. This is a unique opportunity to broaden your skills across multiple calibration disciplines while working directly with customers and representing our organization in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Calibration Execution

• Perform calibrations in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO9001, AS9100, ANZ540.1).
• Support a wide range of calibration disciplines with opportunities to cross-train and expand expertise.
• Accurately document calibration results with full compliance and traceability.
• Maintain calibration standards and report equipment issues as needed.
• Adhere to Quality management system policies and procedures when performing work.
• Creates calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently, with minimal supervision, based upon instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures

Field Support & Customer Engagement

• Travel to customer sites, balancing local assignments with occasional overnight trips.
• Set up and support mobile calibration workstations and onsite labs.
• Communicate effectively with customers on service progress, technical needs, and scheduling.

Team Collaboration

• Partner with supervisors and teammates to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Engage in cross-training to grow skills across multiple disciplines.
• Share feedback to improve service delivery and customer experience.

Quality & Compliance

• Adhere to safety protocols, SOPs, and calibration standards.
• Participate in audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement efforts (5S, Kaizen).
• Maintain professional, audit-ready workspaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of calibration experience in a lab or field environment.
• College Degree in Electronics 2 or 3 years program is preferred.
• Experience with GP calibration is required.
• Willingness to travel for assignments (local and overnight) with company-covered expenses.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and related calibration standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Ability to travel as needed for personal skill enhancement and training; as well as, to fully support the customer calibration requirements

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with FSM, CalWeb, or Gage tools.
• Ability to work across multiple calibration disciplines.
• RF calibration experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Development and maintenance of an ISO 9001, and ISO/IEC 17025 compliant quality system.
• Prior experience in customer-facing roles or supporting large accounts.

Security Requirements

• CGP Controlled Goods Program security clearance.
• Regular background check.
