Mississauga, ON, CanadaJob Summary:Precision soldering and component assembly under a microscope, test standard products made of fibre-optic assemblies, and to produce/assist creating new work instructions for their production. Assemble and test electronic components and PCB’s.Duties & Responsibilities: • With the use of a Microscopic, Manufacture and alignment of electronic-optical assemblies according to Manufacturing Work Instructions• Builds Fibre-Optic assemblies using fine materials, such as; optical fibers, lenses, glass tubes, metal parts, epoxy adhesives, and other related materials.• Preparation of Fibre-Optic Cable and add Terminations when Required• Configure & Test Electronic/Fibre-Optic Modules.• Able to follow all work instructions and procedures• Maintains the working environment in clean and proper arrangement.• Adherence to departmental and company policies and procedures. Including the 5 “S” Principles, ISO, misc. quality system procedures• Carry out other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned by ManagementRequirements:Education: Post-secondary certificate in related field or commensurate experienceExperience:Required: Microscopic Component Assembly/ Precision Soldering: 2-3 years Must be detail oriented, precise and fast learner Must be able to read, understand and follow instructions/drawings.Preferred: Additional experience with Fibre-Optic electronic component assemblyCommunication: Must be fluent in English.
