Job summary

Colter Energy Inc. in Grande Prairie is seeking full-time Field Assistants to work in the field, traveling to sites across Alberta and Northern British Columbia to perform gas well testing and related duties.

Applicants should reside near Grande Prairie, hold Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO training, and be prepared for long shifts with possible overtime. Day rates start at $300, plus subsistence, with a strong safety program in place.

Qualifications

• Reside in the Grande Prairie area (within 30 minutes of our shops).
• Required certifications: Standard First Aid, H2S Alive, CSO training from Energy Safety Canada.
• Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screens are required for all Safety Sensitive Positions.

Responsibilities

• Aiding in the rig in and out of the equipment associated with the job.
• General maintenance and servicing all well testing equipment, with direction from Supervisor.
• Perform accurate readings of gauges and monitors during shift.
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations provided by governing regulatory bodies and the willingness to ask questions if things are unclear.
• Adherence to Colter safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Able to work away from home and necessary hours that can exceed 12 per shift.
• Able and willing to follow direction for assigned duties from Field Supervisors and Management.

These positions are field based, involving approximately 20 days a month travelling to work sites throughout Alberta and Northern British Columbia to perform gas well testing duties.
