Qualifications

  • Valid BC Security License and Advanced Security Training (AST) required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of ferry terminal and onboard vessels.
  • Utilize appropriate control techniques to gain compliance of a subject when necessary.
  • Act as a visible security presence and deterrent to support a safe environment.
  • Engage with the public to provide assistance, direction, and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform security procedures including unlock/lock-up checks and routine inspections.
  • Operate communication tools such as radios and escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Identify, report, and help mitigate safety hazards.
  • Support passenger safety and satisfaction during coast-to-coast travel.
