Job summary

Nutreco is hiring a Feed Mill Operator for the Chilliwack Mill. This role involves operating production machinery, ensuring quality and food safety standards, and optimizing performance. Candidates should have 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Feed Mill Operator role at Chilliwack Mill, responsible for operating bulk receiving, mixing, pelleting, and shipping activities, ensuring uninterrupted production and meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and identify areas to optimize performance.
• Ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
• Meet or exceed production targets, record data on production orders and activities.
• Execute small maintenance tasks and repair work on production equipment.
• Promote awareness of unsafe situations and take appropriate action.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years manufacturing experience (asset).
• Good computer skills.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Boiler certificate Class 5 preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts: 5:30AM–2:00PM, 1:30PM–10:00PM, 9:30PM–6:00AM.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Capacity to lift 25kg regularly.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail in fast‑paced environment, team player, coachable.
• Exposure to elements, noise, dust, and work at heights.
• Basic computer skills with attention to detail and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
