Job summary

Trouw Nutrition in St. Marys, ON is seeking a Skilled Operator to join our production team. The role involves operating the production line, loading/unloading bulk trucks, and maintaining safety and quality standards on a rotating shift schedule.

Candidates should have experience in a feed mill or manufacturing setting, be able to lift 25 kg, and work well in a team while also taking initiative on tasks. Forklift experience is an asset and flexibility for overtime is required.

What You’ll Do

• Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards
• Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
• Load bulk trucks: Unload and receive the ingredients; Accurately and efficiently ship products ordered by customers
• Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times
• Operate the production line
• Endeavors to be productive at all times; Other duties as required.

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required
• Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

You’ll also need

• Rotation weekly 6:30 pm - 7 am; 6:30 am - 7 pm
• Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
• Occasional requirement to work at heights
• Must possess a valid class 5 license
• Forklift driving experience (an asset).
