Job summary

Canada Packers is hiring a Production Operator for the Winkler Feed Mill. This full-time night shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) offers a starting wage of $19.00 per hour and rotates weekends and holidays.

You will be part of a collaborative team that runs feeding production safely and efficiently. You will operate machinery, support daily production goals, and work with maintenance and truck teams to keep operations moving.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and assist daily feed production.
• Complete required paperwork for tasks.
• Follow manufacturing practices and safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Achieve daily production targets with plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report malfunctions.
• Communicate changes in product flow or deviations to Team Lead/Maintenance.
• Collect samples and perform basic tests to ensure specifications.
• Weigh and measure ingredients as required.
• Document quality checks for feed safety.

This position is part of a collaborative team that includes maintenance technicians and truck drivers, all working together to meet daily production goals. If you enjoy working with machines, solving problems, and being part of a fast‑paced operation, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating equipment and supporting daily feed production. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed


• Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks


• Following manufacturing practices & safety policies


• Following housekeeping standards


• Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets


• Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines


• Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance


• Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications


• Measuring & weighing of ingredients


• Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
