Job summary

Canada Packers in Niverville is seeking a Production Operator to join our team producing high-quality animal feed in a safe, efficient environment. This hands-on role involves operating equipment, following processes, and collaborating with maintenance technicians and truck drivers to meet daily production goals.

The position offers full-time hours (40 per week), rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with starting pay at $19.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and support daily feed production.

  • Follow manufacturing practices and safety policies.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Operate plant equipment to meet daily production targets.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machines.
  • Communicate changes in product flow or equipment issues to Team Lead or Maintenance.
  • Collect samples and perform tests to ensure material meets specs.
  • Measure and weigh ingredients.
  • Adhere to quality standards and feed safety documentation.

About this opportunity:

Location: Niverville Feed Mill
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.

This position is part of a collaborative team that includes maintenance technicians and truck drivers, all working together to meet daily production goals. If you enjoy working with machines, solving problems, and being part of a fast-paced operation, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Operator, you'll be responsible for operating equipment and supporting daily feed production. Your responsibilities will include:

Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed

Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks

Following manufacturing practices & safety policies

Following housekeeping standards

Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets

Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines

Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance

Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications

Measuring & weighing of ingredients

Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.
