Job summary

The Government of Nunavut invites applications for a Family Resource Worker who will support the Family Wellness office, working with CSSWs and community resources to coordinate prevention programs for families, children, youth, elders and the community.

The incumbent will operate largely in isolated communities, emphasizing family-centered practice, collaboration with Elders and school partners, and adherence to relevant legislation and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 and experience in family/community services.
• Experience coordinating prevention programs for families and communities is an asset.
• Ability to work across isolated communities with limited support services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prevention programs for families, children, youth, elders and the community in collaboration with CSSWs and other resources.
• Support family wellness initiatives and liaise with schools and service providers to promote well-being.
