Job summary

North of Superior Counselling Programs (NOSP) is seeking a Family Support Worker (FSW) for our Geraldton, ON site. The role supports children, youth and families within a Recovery Framework, providing mental health and developmental services, case management, and coordinated referrals.

This permanent, full-time position collaborates with clinical teams and counsellors to deliver person-centered care. The FSW reports to the Clinical Services Manager and works to engage diverse communities while

Qualifications

• College Diploma in related social services field.
• University degree in Human Service preferred.
• Regulated profession eligibility or membership preferred.
• Three years’ experience in mental health/developmental services preferred.
• Ability to build professional, sustainable family relationships.
• Experience with goal planning and care planning.
• Experience in one-on-one counselling and group facilitation.
• Knowledge of Ontario child protection system.
• Anti-oppressive, anti-racist practice awareness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health and developmental supports.
• Case management and service coordination including referrals.
• Crisis response and family support.
• Education, psycho-social groups, presentations.
