Job summary

NCN Wellness in Nelson House, Manitoba, seeks a Family Enhancement Worker to provide prevention-focused services that strengthen families and promote the safety and well-being of children.

Under supervision of the Family Enhancement Supervisor, you will work directly with families to identify strengths, develop plans, and connect them with supports that help maintain family unity and stability. Open until filled.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Child and Family Services or related field.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture and family systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver's Licence.
  • Child Abuse Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, and Criminal Record Checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct family assessments and develop service plans.
  • Provide in-home support and guidance to parents and caregivers.
  • Assist families in identifying strengths and goals.
  • Connect families with community resources and support services.
  • Support parents in developing healthy parenting practices.
  • Monitor and document family progress.
  • Advocate for families and children.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Participate in case planning and team meetings.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with program policies.
