Job summary

Sources Community Resources Society is hiring a Family Support Worker for a temporary 12-month mat leave covering 35 hours per week at $29.87/hour, located at 882 Maple Street, White Rock. Start date is Sept 2, 2026, with end date Sept 17, 2027 and potential extension.

The role supports the Child & Family Services team, performing outreach, parent coaching, and service plan interventions to protect and reunify families referred by MCFD.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed practice training asset
• 3+ years working with children and families under stress
• Basic understanding of substance use, trauma, development and housing needs
• Must have BC driver's license with clean record
• Criminal record check required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
• Evenings availability as needed
• Strong understanding of child protection system and acts

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 10–12 families.
• Provide supervised visitation and family development services.
• Conduct outreach in clients' homes or other settings and support family reunification.
• Support service plans with life skills coaching and access to supports.
• Participate in Integrated Case Management and relevant case conferences.
