Job summary

PLEA Community Services is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Family Support Worker for the Asante team in Maple Ridge. The role involves interviewing, observing, and guiding families to address FASD and neurodevelopmental concerns, with a 35-hour work week and flextime. BCGEU membership is required.

The position runs Sept 21, 2026 to Sept 30, 2027. Responsibilities include developing intervention plans, providing emotional support, and coordinating with community providers.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in a related human/social service field.
• One year of recent related experience.
• BCGEU membership required.

Responsibilities

• Gather information on neurodevelopmental concerns and needs from participants, caregivers, and providers.
• Provide referrals, support, and problem solving to address FASD-related issues.
• Develop and monitor participant service plans with the case management team.
