Job summary

SCI Corp in Thornhill, Ontario seeks a Family Service Counselor to grow client relationships, present cemetery options, and close pre-need and at-need arrangements.

You will generate leads, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with funeral directors and staff to deliver compassionate, personalized service while building a strong referral network.

A valid driver’s license is required; evenings and weekends may be necessary; compensation combines base pay with commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent education.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current province-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by province law and as prescribed by each state board.

Responsibilities

• Prospect leads daily and obtain referrals from families served.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.
• Build and maintain relationships with families, understanding their needs and offering value-added solutions.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and location staff to deliver seamless, high-quality service.
• Prepare for appointments with professionalism and attention to detail; follow up on requests.
