Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Caseworker/Chaplain to support residents at Belkin House. The role combines case management with Christian pastoral care in a community setting, delivering compassionate guidance and ensuring safe, dignified care within a residential shelter.

• Provides supervision and support for clients/residents as required by policies and procedures.
• Offers Christian pastoral care services within a community or shelter setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive, professional role model for residents and staff.
• Maintains safety and security through routine status checks and room searches.
• Develops and implements case management plans with clients, monitors progress, and prepares discharge plans.
• Assesses client suitability and makes referrals to other programs and agencies.
• Performs intake and discharge procedures and develops Personal Development Plans with clients.
• Orientates new residents to Belkin House policies and expectations.
