Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Milton, Ontario is seeking a dynamic Factory Operational Excellence Coach to lead ROPEX initiatives on site. You will drive Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and change management to deliver measurable improvements and sustain daily ROPEX practice.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and is part of the ROCKWOOL Group international ROPEX community, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. A strong Lean Six Sigma background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Industrial Engineering degree or comparable education.
• 3+ years’ experience in process, industrial or engineering roles driving changes.
• Practical Lean Manufacturing implementations with proven results.
• Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
• MS Office suite proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
• Experience establishing Obeya Management System for shop floor and leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership and change management abilities.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification.
• Skilled in training, facilitation, and coaching.
• Strong communication across levels

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate and train management teams in ROPEX and Leadership workshops.
• Lead strategy formulation and deployment.
• Set up Obeya for management and shift leaders.
• Conduct value stream mapping and improvement weeks.
• Assist in actual training workshops.
• Provide leadership coaching and feedback across levels.
• Oversee machine boards, 5S, standard work, SMED and TPM implementation.
• Lead the final tool implementation in the factory post-workshops.
• Anchor ROPEX in daily life and ensure KPI improvements.
• Support yearly strategy deployment workshops with management.
• Participate in Obeya meetings and contribute to coaching A3 writing.
• Ensure ROPEX progress is tracked and ROPEX team is engaged.
