Job summary

The Wine Village in Hamilton, ON is seeking a Factory Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining machinery, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of equipment.

The ideal candidate has an Apprenticeship or equivalent experience, 3–5 years in maintenance, and the ability to work with welding, pumps, robotics, and electrical controls. The position is permanent, full-time with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience is required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with safety boots and transportation to site.

Responsibilities

• Repair defective machinery parts and replace components.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and hydraulic systems.
• Operate welding equipment, pumps, compressors, packaging equipment, and robotized systems.
• Estimate costs and materials for maintenance work.
• Work with electrical and electronic controls and safe repair practices.
• Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) when required.
