Job summary

Av-Gauge is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support facility and equipment maintenance across all Canadian locations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and urgent fixes to keep production lines running.

The role requires experience in manufacturing maintenance, knowledge of electrical and mechanical controls, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing maintenance
• 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification is a strong asset
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, lathes/mills and other machining tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC
• Elevated platform certification is an asset
• Willingness and ability to learn required machinery is a must
• Ability to work multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
• Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Follow Preventive Maintenance schedule to perform facility and equipment maintenance activities
• Perform routine facility and equipment repairs
• Perform urgent repairs, as necessary
• Order required parts and supplies after purchase is approved by the supervisor
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
• Assist with heating and cooling systems troubleshooting
• Assist in assembling new machinery and equipment prior to installation, and in installing, if required
• Adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings
• Operate forklift, overhead crane, elevated platform, hand tools, read and interpret blueprints
• May require rigging, handling, centering, work at elevation; bearing, etc.
• Adhere to safe operating procedures at all times
• Adhere to lock out procedures during machinery shutdown
• Other duties as required.
