Job summary
ROCKWOOL USA INC. in Milton, ON, is seeking an experienced Factory Buyer to support daily procurement of direct materials and production supplies, ensuring timely purchasing and strong supplier relationships for uninterrupted factory operations.
The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and requires 3-5 years in industrial purchasing, post-secondary education, and proficiency in SAP or ERP systems. Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ Industrial purchasing experience.
- Post-secondary education.
- MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Advanced Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or any ERP system for material purchases and reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organizing skills and knowledge of purchasing principles.
Responsibilities
- Create POs in the ERP system and manage the full ordering cycle.
- Inventory management of direct materials.
- Goods receipt follow-up.
- Primary contact for invoice queries.
- Monitor regional material planning KPIs.
- Support supplier performance measurements.
- Ensure contracts are implemented operationally.
- Identify supply risks and mitigate.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and travel as needed.
