Job summary

Dealermine is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator for Whitewater Mountain Resort. You will help execute maintenance, repairs, and inspections of resort facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and government regulations, and coordinating with staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of lodges and other resort infrastructure.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify issues before they affect safety and guest experience.
• Collaborate with department supervisors to prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources.
• Maintain organized work sites during projects and ensure prompt cleanup to reduce hazards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards and take prompt action.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper use and procurement.
• Coordinate and oversee work of external contractors and vendors when specialized expertise is needed.
• Understand and monitor the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and perform required reporting on schedule.
• Develop and monitor KPI related to utility systems and energy efficiency.
• Promote safety practices and a culture of compliance among maintenance staff.

JOB SYNOPSIS:

The Facility Maintenance Coordinator will help execute the maintenance and repair activities of all facilities resort wide. This will include the maintenance and upkeep of the organization’s facilities, ensuring that they meet legal requirements, health and safety standards, and are in compliance with all government regulations. This role will execute the daily operation and maintenance of the Whitewater facilities with a focus on ensuring the resort's building infrastructure is well maintained, perform infrastructure maintenance and repairs as required, and will monitor and maintain Whitewater’s water treatment program and waste water systems. This role also requires understanding of the electrical, plumbing, gas, and septic systems resort wide.

This position will be required to complete tasks in an organized, effective, and timely manner as directed by their supervisor and management, recognize necessary maintenance tasks around the resort, and ensure these tasks get resolved and communicated. Occasionally, this role will be used to assist with other projects around the resort.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of lodges and other resort infrastructure.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact guest experience and safety.
• Collaborate with department supervisors and management to prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources effectively.
• Maintain an organized work site during projects with prompt cleanup of the area to reduce hazards to staff and the public.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards, then take prompt action to address any concerns.
• Manage and maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance operations, ensuring their proper use, storage, and procurement as needed.
• When assigned, coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors and vendors when specialized expertise or additional resources are required for resort facilities.
• Understand the maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to maintenance activities, including work
• orders, inspections, repairs, and equipment maintenance history.
• Ensure all facility systems and equipment are in compliance with government regulations, and all required weekly, monthly, annual reporting, inspections, sampling, testing, etc is performed and reported to the appropriate agencies on time and in compliance with the regulatory bodies requirements.
• Complete weekly/monthly/annual reporting as required
• Work on and maintain the utility systems for the resort including consumption monitoring, equipment efficiency upgrades, and related Key Performance Indicator (KPI) development.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors and management.
• Use a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development
• Ensures facilities are maintained consistent with best practices regarding energy conservation, and other relevant environmental standards.
• Promote and enforce adherence to safety regulations and best practices among maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

• 3-5 Years Building Maintenance Experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with tools and equipment required.
• Red Seal Carpenter, Electrician, or Plumber considered an asset.
• Class 5 driver's license required.
• OFA Level 1 or equivalent an asset.
• Experience with small water systems is considered an asset.
• Small water system operator certificate considered an asset
• Small wastewater system certificate considered an asset
• Having your own tools considered and asset.
