As a Facility Assistant II in the Grain division, you will assist in moving and sampling grain, operate equipment, and help maintain a safe, efficient facility in Amberley, Ontario. The role emphasizes teamwork and reliable service to farmers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a general labour role, preferably in agriculture.
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery and electrical systems is an asset.
• Class G driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.).
• Ability to work in dusty environments and at heights.
• Flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload shipments to move grain.
• Collect, test, and record grain samples.
• Grade commodities with competency.
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision.
• Blend fertilizer by performing basic math.
• Maintain facility and housekeeping.
• Uphold safety and compliant work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Role

We are seeking a Facility Assistant II to join our Grain team. This role is responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.

Day to Day

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples
• Exercising competency in grading commodities
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately blend fertilizer
• Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment
• Performing exceptional customer service duties
• Other duties as required

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years’ experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical considered an asset
• Class G driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergensAbility to work at heights
• Flexible work schedule
