Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a Facility Assistant for the Rathwell, Manitoba grain facility. The role involves moving and sampling grain, delivering crop input products, and maintaining clean, safe operations on site.

You will contribute to loading/unloading shipments, testing samples, and supporting daily facility processes, with a focus on safety and efficiency in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture/farming.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs).
• Able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments.
• Collect and test grain samples.
• Handle and deliver crop input products.
• Perform regular facility maintenance and housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Your Role

As a Facility Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the grain facility.

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
• Collecting and testing grain samples
• Handling and delivering crop input products
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

Qualifications

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
• Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
