Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is seeking a Facility Assistant II for its Maymont, SK location. You will be responsible for moving and sampling grain, plus supporting overall facility operations.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures within a grain-handling environment. The position requires 2+ years of general labour experience, a Class 1 license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work around dust, and operate machinery with precision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming.
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical considered an asset.
• Class 1 driver’s license.
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens
• Ability to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Move grain by loading/unloading shipments.
• Collect, test, and record grain samples.
• Grade commodities with accuracy.
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision.
• Perform basic calculations to blend fertilizer.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

The Role

As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.

Day to Day

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples
• Exercising competency in grading commodities
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately blend fertilizer
• Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment
• Other duties as required

What You’ll Bring
