Job summary

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) Bow Island facility seeks a Facility Assistant I to assist with grain movement, sampling, and supporting daily operations in a busy grain facility.

You will collect grain samples, maintain a clean work area, and uphold safety standards while working in varied weather conditions. The role is full-time, permanent, and based in Bow Island, AB.

Qualifications

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Valid drivers license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dusty environments.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions.

Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

As a Facility Assistant I, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the grain facility.

Day to Day

• Collecting and testing grain samples
• Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
• Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions
