Job summary

Michael House Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services is seeking a General Maintenance Person to oversee ongoing upkeep, repairs, and safe operation of two nonprofit-owned facilities in Guelph, Ontario. You will ensure cleanliness, functionality, and safety for staff, clients, and visitors across both locations.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, minor repairs, coordinating with external contractors, and maintaining maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or building operations.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs for two nonprofit-owned buildings.
• Address plumbing leaks, light bulb replacements, door/lock repairs, and basic carpentry.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks across two sites and liaise with external contractors.
• Monitor building systems and perform preventative maintenance; keep logs of work.
