Job summary

Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) seeks a Facilities & Safety Coordinator to advocate health, safety and security across SIIT campuses. The role focuses on implementing safety policies, coordinating risk assessments, training staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance to protect students, clients, employees and assets.

The Coordinator will lead health and safety programs, support building maintenance, and collaborate with SIIT teams to promote a safe learning and working

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in occupational health and safety, environment or emergency response.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in health and safety program management.
• Preference for experience with building maintenance at multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to SIIT locations through safety programs, procedures and education initiatives.
• Perform health and safety audits and compliance activities, including incident investigation and reporting.
• Lead security, emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance programs across SIIT facilities.
• Foster a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment.
• Assist in department staffing through selection of employees, contractors and service providers.
