Job summary

Community Living Greater Sudbury (CLGS) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, the Maintenance Worker will perform maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility upkeep to keep our buildings safe and functional.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance, a valid G license, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or facility management.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance routines and safety requirements.
Must have a valid G driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility upkeep.
Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment and ensure they are in good working order.
Work collaboratively with staff and interact positively and respectfully with tenants.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, WHMIS, and OHSA standards.
Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential repair needs proactively.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.
Complete assigned tasks independently and manage workload effectively.
Other duties as assigned.
