Job summary

The Town of Whitby is seeking a motivated Attendant I - Maintenance to support arena operations. The role involves maintenance of facilities, ice surfaces, and related equipment, with flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends.

A safe, collaborative team environment and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential. Candidates should have Grade 12, 12+ months arena experience, CPO/refrigeration basics preferred, CPR/AED Level C and First Aid current, a valid G license, and a clean

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of related arena facility experience.
• CPO, refrigeration basics and Safe Ice Resurfacer Operator preferred.
• CPR/AED Level C and Emergency First Aid certification.
• Valid Class G driver’s license.
• Satisfactory police criminal record check for vulnerable sector.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance, cleaning and repairs of the facility and grounds.
• Maintenance of ice surfaces and operation of ice resurfacing equipment.
• Maintain pool and water filtration system.
• Respond to public and staff inquiries.
• Provide training and direction to part-time maintenance staff.
• Other duties as may be required.
