Job summary

Siksika Nation is seeking a Custodian for the Siksika Iitaisokinaapyoyis Healing Lodge Recovery Centre. The role involves maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment across client rooms, offices, and common spaces, following infection prevention and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Knowledge of general cleaning and sanitation practices.
Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
Ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules, and established procedures.
Requires physical condition and strength for lifting or movement of heavy items.
Knowledge of Siksika Nation culture and ability to communicate in Siksika language.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize client rooms, offices, washrooms, common areas, hallways, kitchens, and other spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces and handrails.
Empty, sort, and dispose of waste per facility procedures.
Follow waste handling protocols for potentially contaminated materials.
Replenish washroom supplies, soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
