Job summary

Bigstone Lot 25 Corporation in Alberta invites an experienced Custodian to join our multidisciplinary team. You will perform janitorial and maintenance tasks, sanitize common areas, and help keep the office secure and presentable.

Candidates should have a High School diploma (asset), valid WHMIS, reliable transportation, and experience in custodial work. Salary is dependent on qualifications; we offer vacation, sick time, and extended health benefits.

Responsibilities

• General Janitorial and Maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, sanitizing floors, washrooms, etc.
• Collect and dispose of trash from the buildings
• Sanitize surfaces: doorknobs/handles, handrails, countertops, tables, chairs, phones, other common items
• Reports observations regarding malfunctions, defects, repair and maintenance and unsafe conditions of the building, fixtures, and equipment
• Perform seasonal cleaning
• Ensuring the office building is secure prior to leaving the building

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to follow instructions concerning various chemicals
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma is an asset
• Experience in a Custodial/Janitorial role considered an asset
• Reliable transportation
• Valid WHMIS Certification

Salary is dependent on qualifications.
