Job summary

Pursuit in Banff is seeking an Assistant Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant and event operations, including banquets. You will supervise staff, uphold hygiene standards, and assist with recruitment and inventory management.

The role involves coordinating weddings and conferences, managing financial tasks, and maintaining high guest satisfaction while complying with health and safety regulations. A degree in hotel/restaurant management and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proven leadership and management capabilities are essential.
• Flexible to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, split shifts.
• Experience in hotel/restaurant operations is preferred.
• MICROS POS system experience is an asset.
• Ability to obtain licenses or permits as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant and special events operations, including banquets.
• Supervise staff and ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
• Maintain exemplary food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist with recruitment, training, and staff management.
• Oversee inventory and monthly ordering counts with accuracy.
• Address and resolve guest complaints promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and health codes.
• Assist with cocktail creation and menu development.
• Lead weddings, conferences, and signature events to flawless delivery.
• Handle daily billing and financial responsibilities.
• Communicate guest feedback and staff performance to the team.
