Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs invites applications for an Assistant Event Operations Manager to lead one of the largest Event Operations teams in a premium alpine resort. You will manage 80,000 sq ft of event space, ensure flawless execution, and foster strong client relationships with internal teams.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in Food & Beverage management, culinary knowledge, and leadership skills. Competitive salary and a full benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Food and Beverage Management.
• Experience in banquet/event/conference settings in a luxury property is an asset.
• Culinary and beverage knowledge required.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities; able to handle high-pressure environments.
• Proficient with Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and general Windows programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of over 80,000 sq ft of event space with high service standards.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 100+ staff and 15 leaders.
• Collaborate with Conference Services, Culinary, and hotel departments to execute events flawlessly.
• Assist forecasting, P&L analysis, and departmental planning to drive profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Provide direction and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting; ensure facilities meet standards.
