Job summary

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood, UK, offers a Paint Shop Planning - Placement Year internship for July 2027. You will support a 25-person team responsible for new vehicle planning, model integrations into the paint shop, and driving operational and financial improvements.

The role develops project management, teamwork, and communication skills while exposing you to cross-functional engineering challenges and BMW Group collaboration.

Qualifications

• Automotive/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering or similar course.
• Experience with MS Excel and Power BI.
• CAD software knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in procurement and preparation for installation of a new paint facility.
• Review concept maturity and changes for equipment commissioning.
• Evaluate new equipment and control technologies for the facility.
• Update structure layouts and engineering drawings.
• Gather data, analyse processes and drive improvements.
• Assist in planning new model build phases and KPI reporting.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers for trials.
• Analyse quality issues and contribute to quality reporting.
• Assist with new model launch work and trials.
