As a Paint Shop Planning and Optimisation Intern, the successful candidate will support a team of approximately 25 people responsible for new vehicle planning, integrating new models into the paint shop, and driving operational optimisation and financial steering activities. Working closely with project teams on the shop floor, the intern will contribute to a range of projects and daily operational tasks, attend team debriefs, and assist in delivering key business objectives. The role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands‑on experience of how major automotive manufacturing projects are planned and executed, while developing project management, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Through exposure to real business challenges and cross‑functional working, the intern will gain a strong understanding of paint shop operations and professional development within BMW Group.
To be eligible for this position, you must be returning to your studies, for a minimum of 6 months, after completion of this placement. You must be able to provide proof of your legal right to work in the UK.
