Job summary

KidStrong is seeking a General Manager at the Red Deer centre to lead daily operations, drive member growth, and energize a team of coaches. You’ll balance hands-on coaching with strategic planning, ensuring a high-energy, kid-friendly environment that reflects KidStrong’s values.

The role focuses on managing KPIs, member engagement, and staff development while coordinating with the area developers and HQ to deliver exceptional experiences for families and kids.

Qualifications

• Coaching background with kids aged 15 months to 11 years.
• People skills to engage parents and guardians.
• Tech savvy with common tools and social platforms.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Master the Numbers: Know KPIs and financials inside and out.
• Relationship Guru: Be the friendly face everyone loves to see.
• Keep it Running: Maintain a spotless center and smooth operation.
• Delegate Tasks: Ensure your team is on point and not burnt out.
• Flex Your Weekly Schedule: Work 4 weekdays (2 evenings) and 1 weekend shift.
• Drive Membership: Work with your team to set goals and fill class spots.
• Lead the Charge: Dial phones, send texts, and convert leads into members.
• Be the Face: Attend local events to promote KidStrong.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Centre Operations:

Sales:

• Drive Membership: Work with your team to set goals and fill those class spots
• Lead the Charge: Dial the phones, send the texts, and turn the leads into KidStrong members
• Be the Face: Arrange and attend local events that make KidStrong the talk of the town

Leadership:

• Foster Growth: Inspire your team to be their best selves on and off the blue floor
• Recruit & Train: Find, onboard, and develop rockstar coaches
• Develop: Use KidStrong's awesome training tools to help continue the professional development of yourself and your team
• Stay Connected: Communicate clearly via Slack and Email

Coaching:

• Be Hands-On: Deliver our awesome curriculum and high-fives in equal measure
• Keep your finger on the pulse: Actively coach 2 classes a week
• Track Progress: Use the KS Coaches App to monitor attendance and achievements
• Stay Active: Navigate a physically demanding environment with the energy of a kid on a sugar rush.
• Certification: Achieve Coach Certification through KidStrong HQ Training

Who You’ll Interact With:

• Supervise: Membership Director, Assistant GM, Lead Coach
• Collaborate: Centre team members and families – you’re basically the glue
• Coordinate: Area Developer (Franchisee) and KidStrong HQ team members
