Job summary

Medcan Health Management Inc. in Markham is hiring an Exercise Physiologist (CEP) or Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) to conduct sub-maximal VO2 testing and resting ECGs. You will generate reports, provide exercise recommendations, and coordinate patient flow within the clinic.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, CPR certification, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Outlook. 40-hour weeks, with some Saturday coverage at the Markham clinic.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CSEP or Registered Kinesiologist designation.
• Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or Health Sciences or Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion is an asset.
• Experience conducting graded exercise testing.
• 2+ years healthcare experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Sub-Maximal VO2 tests using the Bruce Protocol.
• Administer Resting ECG tests.
• Update testing results to generate patient reports.
• Provide clients with recommendations and corrective exercises.
• Monitor and facilitate patient flow through the clinic.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure high-quality service and efficient timing.
• Cross-train in fitness assessments such as body composition, InBody, measurements, and exercise programming.
