Job summary

Lifemark Health Group in Calgary seeks a Kinesiologist to support our outpatient rehabilitation team. You will conduct ergonomic assessments, supervise graded exercise programs, and facilitate work hardening with clients to improve recovery times.

Join a collaborative group of clinicians at Lifemark Sport Medicine, at 2225 MacLeod Trail S, and contribute to comprehensive rehab with safety protocols, client education, and clear return-to-work plans for each client.

Qualifications

• Graduate of university kinesiology degree.
• Registration with the provincial kinesiology body is required.
• 2+ years of experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

The successful candidate will posses the ability to perform ergonomic assessment, POET’s, work hardening and facilitating FCE’s. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehab cases.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

We have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of our patients and employees with PPE provided, the spacing of patients, screening, and more. Extensive safety protocols and procedures have been put into place and are mandatory.

In this role you will:
