Schill Insurance Brokers Ltd. in British Columbia seeks a Vice President of Commercial Lines Operations to lead Commercial Lines, Strata, and Underwriting, translating priorities into clear direction and supporting sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will strengthen performance, underwriting discipline, client and partner experiences, and cross-functional collaboration across the commercial practice.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive commercial insurance experience, including senior leadership responsibility within a complex operation.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting governance, risk selection, rating and policy guidelines, and portfolio performance.
• Experience guiding Commercial Lines, Strata, and Underwriting in a cohesive practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance across Commercial Lines, Strata, and Underwriting with clear priorities and workflows.
• Establish and monitor performance measures to understand service levels, retention, workload, and portfolio health.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement using market conditions and team feedback.
• Lead improvements to processes, technology, and ways of working for scalability.
• Coach and develop leaders, setting expectations and ensuring accountability.
• Align cross-functional priorities through regular collaboration with related teams.
