SAGE Dining Services Canada is seeking a dedicated, talented, and motivated Executive Chef to help lead our dynamic team at a day school, within the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. We provide exceptional dining experiences that delight the senses, inspire minds, and foster community. Our services are for independent schools and colleges.

While these are schools and colleges, at SAGE, it is not just "cafeteria" food. We focus on high-volume scratch cooking, positive reinforcement, teamwork, extreme ownership, outstanding customer service, and delivering incredible menus at every meal, whether catered or not. Our chefs and culinary teams pride themselves on providing exceptional dining experiences that go beyond traditional school offerings, delivering high-quality meals and services that exceed community standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in institutional food service, with proven ability to follow and execute standardized recipes, and flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes. This role requires excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills to ensure consistent quality and timely service. This is a management salaried position year-round. Must have a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations and staff.
  • Prepare meals according to established recipes and portion standards.
  • Manage food production for large-scale service in institutional settings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
  • Respond efficiently to last-minute requests or changes in menus or service.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold food quality and safety standards.

This venue is primarily open Monday through Friday, but special events may occur in the evenings or on weekends.
