Job description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of our kitchen. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, menu innovation, cost control, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for culinary excellence and the ability to deliver an exceptional dining experience consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and design menus that reflect seasonal availability, dietary trends, and customer preferences.
  2. Supervise all kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep staff; ensure proper training, scheduling, and performance.
  3. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control to ensure consistency and quality.
  4. Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen that complies with health and safety regulations.
  5. Manage food and labor costs to achieve budgetary goals.
  6. Source and maintain vendor relationships for high-quality ingredients.
  7. Monitor inventory and place orders as needed.
  8. Lead by example in maintaining high morale and professionalism in the kitchen.
  9. Collaborate with front-of-house managers and event coordinators for special events, banquets, and catering services.
  10. Keep up to date with culinary trends and introduce creative concepts and techniques.
Qualifications:
  1. Education: Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of progressive kitchen experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or executive chef role.
  3. Proven track record in high-volume or fine dining environments.
  4. Strong knowledge of various cuisines, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
  5. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
