Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 (CAD)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with flexibility required based on operational needs.

Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  1. Manage food service operations while leading a dynamic culinary team
  2. Provide oversight of multiple food outlets—including resident dining/long-term care dining, retail/vending
  3. Oversee cost control and budgeting
  4. Hire, train, and develop culinary team
  5. Use creativity in menu planning
  6. Drive a standard and consistency in food and food service delivery
  7. Create a safe, inclusive workplace environment
  8. Build and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship, including high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention; foster strong interpersonal relations and a safety culture

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  1. Red Seal certification
  2. Solid understanding of nutrition, including dietary needs in senior living and long-term care environments
  3. Knowledge of texture-modified meals, thickened fluids, and special diets
  4. Proven success in managing food services in a busy setting
  5. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a culinary leadership role
  6. Strong team building, mentorship, and coaching skills
  7. Menu development experience
  8. Customer service orientation
  9. Experience working with seniors is an asset
  10. Familiarity with unionized environments and diverse cultural teams
  11. Knowledge of multiple international cuisines
  12. High-end dining and catering experience
  13. Strong organizational and time management skills
  14. Ability to analyze and interpret financial information related to food, menu, and labor costing
