Shannex Incorporated in Ancaster, Ontario, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary team in Parkland Ancaster. You will oversee food service operations, develop menus, and coordinate catering for internal and external events, ensuring therapeutic menu modifications when needed.

Candidates should hold Red Seal Journeyman and Advanced Food Safety certificates, with 5–7 years cooking experience and at least 2 years in a leadership role, plus clear background checks.

About The Opportunity

• Selects, shapes, and develops the culinary team
• Providing leadership and overseeing provision of food services
• Providing catering services for internal and external events
• Providing input into division menu development
• Liaising with the Health Services Team to ensure client receive the appropriate therapeutic menu modification as indicated by their medical condition

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• Red Seal Journeyman certification
• Current and recognized Advanced Food Safety certificate
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a chef
• Minimum of two years in a leadership role in food services
• Experience in volume food preparation in the hospitality or long-term care sector
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment.
• Previous management experience is an asset, as well as any other Alzheimer’s or Dementia training courses are considered an asset
