Job description

Organization is your superpower. Creativity is your secret weapon. And a busy calendar? That’s where you shine. Does this sound like you? Then this may be the dream role for you!

Central Alberta Co-op is looking for an energetic, highly organized Executive Assistant to support our CEO and Executive team.

This is not a sit-back-and-wait-for-instructions kind of role. We’re looking for someone who loves being in the know, behind the scenes, and making things happen. From Board meetings and special projects to workplace events and everything in between, you’ll be the person helping keep the details organized and the wheels turning.

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do
  • Own the details - coordinate meetings, calendars, deadlines, agendas, minutes, reports, and follow-ups.
  • Bring events to life - help plan and coordinate our AGM, workplace events, leadership meetings, and special activities.
  • Keep our CEO one step ahead - provide executive support, anticipate needs, and help priorities stay on track.
  • Be the master of many moving pieces - juggle competing priorities, changing deadlines, and special projects without missing the details.
  • Put your creative side to work - bring fresh ideas and a little extra spark to events, meetings, communications, and team initiatives.
  • Keep us connected and organized - maintain important records, policies, membership information, directories, and documentation.
  • Be a trusted go-to person - work with confidential information, support leaders across the organization, and jump in wherever your talents are needed.
You Might Be Our Person If…
  • Your organizational skills are next level.
  • You’re a multi-tasking guru who thrives when there’s lots happening.
  • Planning an event from the first idea to the final detail genuinely excites you.
  • You love a good checklist - and love checking things off even more.
  • You notice the little details other people miss.
  • You’re creative, resourceful, and always thinking, “How can we make this even better?”
  • You can change gears quickly without losing your cool - or your calendar.
  • You’re proactive and often have the next step figured out before someone asks.
  • You’re professional, approachable, and comfortable working with people at every level.
  • You understand that discretion and confidentiality are a big deal.
What You Bring
  • Administrative, executive support, office coordination, event planning, or related experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Confidence with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A sharp eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders, coordinating events, or working with a Board of Directors would be a great asset.
