Job summary

Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for their Syncrude MLX project north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. These operators will work in an open pit mine environment, focusing on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidates are safety-conscious, have strong experience with heavy equipment, and are committed to contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• 3 year Drivers Abstract.
• 2-4 years of experience operating Heavy Equipment in Mining and/or Civil Construction.
• CSTS and OSSA or BSO or CSO certification.
• Experience with excavator operation (over/under 180 tons).
• Ability to speak, write and read English.
• Ability to pass pre-employment/pre-access testing (safety-sensitive position).

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators in open pit mine environments.
• Maintain safety and efficiency in heavy equipment operations.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and collaborate with crew.
