Job summary

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking an Events Services Server (Regular) to join the Banquet team. This role handles setup, serving and clearing in Banquet spaces, delivering outstanding guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right; strong communication; ability to lift and move moderate weight; flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, with early mornings or late nights as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous food and beverage experience in events is an asset.
• Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certificate.
• Must be available to work various shifts (AM, MID or PM) including weekends and holidays.
• Must be an excellent team player and able to work with a diverse group of individuals and guests.
• Must be able to engage customers in a professional conversation at all times.
• Must be able to prioritize.
• Must be excellent in multi-tasking.
• Must have refined verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Events Services Server sets up, serves and clears Banquet rooms and serves guests with excellent service.
• Good communication skills; ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight.
• Fast-paced role with continual guest contact and general events preparation.
• Maintain sanitary event service station setups, stock replenishment, equipment organization and cleaning.
