Job summary

Sodexo Live! at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Zone Supervisor to oversee event operations, enforce policies, and coordinate with managers to deliver exceptional guest service. The role requires 3+ years in supervisory and serving roles, strong wine knowledge, and solid POS experience.

You must pass in-house training and lead staff to maintain safety and quality during events. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is expected; the position is full-time and pays

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years' serving experience.
• Serving it Right
• Extensive knowledge of wines
• Must successfully complete in-house training program
• Ability to lead assigned portion of staff in completion of duties
• In-depth knowledge of F&B preparation and presentation
• Good working knowledge of level 3 layout
• Able to work with limited supervision
• Able to carry large banquet trays
• Walk long distances and stand for long periods
• Strong knowledge of banquet setup and operations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent team leadership skills
• Able to unload pallets

Responsibilities

• Oversee different areas during events and communicate issues to managers.
• Attend briefings before shifts; stay aware of menu changes.
• Ensure proper food handling and alcohol service; check IDs.
• Understand Centerplate's food and beverage options.
• Maintain a positive demeanor with staff and guests.
• Resolve customer issues diplomatically and promptly.
• Monitor guests' alcohol levels and manage stock during events.
• Collect paperwork after events and troubleshoot POS systems.
• Ensure staff duties are completed and sign out on time.
• Secure areas, count inventory, and log transfers.
• Introduce yourself to hosts/organizers to meet needs.
• Document incidents or concerns during shifts.
• Understand par levels and product rotation to prevent spoilage.
• Maintain inventory and direct staff; perform daily admin duties.
