Sodexo Live! is seeking a Hospitality Lead Supervisor to run the food and beverage operation at BC Place Stadium, directing concession stands, bars, vending and service points during events. You will lead supervisors and frontline teams to ensure guest readiness, safety and top‑notch service.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in high-volume hospitality or events.
  • Strong judgement, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, visible leadership style with real-time decision capability.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, inventory, cash/POS and responsible alcohol service.
  • Serving It Right certification required; Food Safe certification is an asset.
  • Availability for mandatory events including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the event-day operation for an assigned level or major area with staffing and safety oversight.
  • Direct and support Zone Supervisors and frontline teams; set priorities and coach in real time.
  • Own pre-event readiness: staffing, equipment, food production and safety checks.
  • Monitor guest flow, sales demand and inventory; adjust operations to protect service and revenue.
  • Coordinate with Operations, culinary, warehouse, beverage and POS teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain high standards for food safety, service presentation and merchandising.
  • Address guest and employee concerns professionally and decisively.
  • Oversee event administration and timely updates to management.
  • Lead end-of-event close including cleanup, storage and paperwork completion.
  • Provide event feedback and identify efficiency and guest-experience improvements.

Location: We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Lead Supervisorfor the BC Place Stadium.

The Opportunity

Take a lead role in the food and beverage operation at BC Place, one of Canada's premier sports and live entertainment venues. The Concessions Food & Beverage Lead oversees a major operating area on event days, leading supervisors and frontline teams across concession stands, bars, vending and supporting service points. This is a hands-on leadership role with meaningful responsibility for people, guest experience, revenue readiness, safety and execution.

The role is well suited to an experienced hospitality leader who wants exposure to large-scale venue operations, including professional sport, major concerts and other live events, with opportunities to build broader operational and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the event-day operation for an assigned level or major area, ensuring all locations are staffed, stocked, safe and guest-ready.
  • Direct and support Zone Supervisors, Stand Leaders and frontline teams; set priorities, deploy resources and provide real-time coaching.
  • Own pre-event readiness, including staffing, equipment, food production, merchandising, health and safety checks and team briefings.
  • Monitor guest flow, sales demand, inventory and production throughout the event; make timely operational adjustments to protect service and revenue.
  • Coordinate with Operations, culinary, warehouse, beverage, technology/POS and other support teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Maintain high standards for food safety, responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, merchandising and overall presentation.
  • Address guest and employee concerns professionally and make sound decisions in a fast-moving live-event environment.
  • Oversee event administration, required documentation and timely operational updates to management.
  • Lead end-of-event close, including cleaning, product storage, equipment shutdown, security and completion of required paperwork.
  • Provide event feedback and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service, team performance and the guest experience.
What You Bring
  • Leadership experience in hospitality, food and beverage, retail, events or another high-volume customer-facing environment.
  • Strong judgement, communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead multiple teams and priorities at once.
  • A proactive, visible leadership style and confidence making decisions in real time.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, inventory, cash/POS and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Serving It Right certification required; Food Safe certification is an asset.
  • Availability for mandatory events, including evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
