Job description

Position Overview

The Event Centre Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, following standardized drink recipes. They aim to ensure each guest has an enjoyable and positive experience while adhering to safety and health protocols. The role may involve assisting in other areas as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Alberta ProServe and ProTect certifications.
• Preference for applicants with a Bartending Certificate and 2-3 years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and hospitality food and beverage operations is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain service standards.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and promote orders.
• Mix, garnish, and serve drinks responsibly following recipes.
• Provide professional beverage and food service.
• Understand and execute event orders, including start times and requirements.
• Maintain bar setup and inventory, including garnishes and perishables.
• Input orders and process payments accurately.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area.
• Store inventory properly after events and secure all supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
