Job summary

WinSport seeks a Banquet Captain to lead frontline catering teams during events at our Calgary venue. You will coordinate staff, supervise setup and service, and respond to client needs with a focus on safety and quality. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance, monitoring timelines, and maintaining equipment and inventory while upholding WinSport standards and values.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of catering, banquet, hospitality, or related service experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event coordination and execution to match contracts and client expectations.
• Provide frontline leadership to catering team during events.
• Ensure health and safety, sanitation, and service standards are met.
• Monitor staff performance and support onboarding of new staff.
• Maintain inventory and equipment for events and coordinate setup/breakdown.
