Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud invites applications for a part-time Home Care Attendant in Niverville. Under the Resource Coordinator - Home Care, you will provide personal care and home support to clients in their own homes, following an established plan of care.

The role requires bilingual English/French proficiency, Grade 12 and a Home Care Attendant or Health Care Aide certificate with a community component; evenings and weekends are anticipated, with 8-hour shifts and a 0.50 FTE.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in both official languages (English/French).
• Grade 12 education required and Home Care Attendant or Health Care Aide certificate with community component.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of sanitation/food handling principles.
• Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and home support to clients according to an established plan of care.
• Work as part of the Home Care team to support frail, physically disabled and/or mentally challenged clients.
• Demonstrate initiative in prioritizing tasks and following policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
• May travel to regional facilities as duties require.
